My Story
Hi there!
I'm Amber Damare, an artist from the town of Covington, Louisiana. Art has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember - I started creating at a super young age and haven't stopped since. My artistic journey took a more serious turn in junior high when I began showcasing my work in gallery shows. It was an exciting time that really shaped my path as an artist.
These days, my work revolves around three main areas:
Printmaking: I'm particularly drawn to screen printing. There's something fascinating about layering colors and textures to create vibrant, dynamic pieces.
Woodworking: This hands-on craft allows me to connect with natural materials in a unique way. I love the process of transforming wood into functional art.
Drawing and Illustration: This is where many of my ideas come to life. I enjoy creating detailed illustrations, often inspired by the world around me.
Nature and animals are a huge influence on my work. Growing up in Louisiana, I've always been surrounded by diverse wildlife and lush landscapes. This connection to the natural world shows up in my choice of subjects, colors, and textures.
As an independent artist, I'm constantly exploring new techniques and pushing my creative boundaries. I believe art has the power to highlight the beauty of our environment, and I hope my work encourages others to appreciate the natural wonders around us. Thanks for taking the time to learn a bit about me and my art. If you're ever in Louisiana, feel free to stop by and say hello!
